Music fills the hearts and minds of all of us. Music is a unique language of artistic expression and the depths of our feelings. These goals are reached through a consistent growth in confidence, skill and cooperation with the ensemble of performers.
Music classes at Three Bridges School are designed to encourage students to grow in their joy with making music. Students are encouraged to develop belief in themselves and become confident risk takers so they can soar to new heights each year.
A variety of experiences are spiraled into the curriculum throughout the school year. Music classes consist of instrument lessons with percussion and melody instruments. Students will sing songs from many eras, styles and of multiple world languages. There will be a developing goal of reading standard notation accompanied by engaging learning games and movement activities that reinforce learning. The character education emphasized by TBS is a constant guiding framework for all that we do in music class.
The 2024-2025 school year has been an excellent school year for music classes and I eagerly anticipate the 2025-2026 school year in music.
