Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Mrs. Lewis. I am super excited to be your teacher this year! I cannot wait to meet you in September and hear all about your summer fun. There are so many new and wonderful things to learn in third grade. In science, we will be learning about force and motion, water and climate and structures of life. In third grade we learn how to write in cursive. Writing will be super fun as we learn to write the persuasive, informational, and narrative genres. Ready to multiplyand divide? Third grade math is awesome!
I know it will be a great year of learning and making new friends! In addition to the items requested in the Back to School Supply Kit (see list below), the following school supplies will be useful as we begin the school year. Please bring all items with you during the first few days of school. Please bring: ● 1 smock or old shirt for Art Class- labeled with your name ● Pair of earbuds/headphones in a Ziploc bag with your name on it ● 1 pencilbox/pouch- labeled with your name ● One box of quart or sandwich ziploc bags (Thank you in advance!)
