The Great Kindness Challenge:  We are excited to share that the week of January 26–30 will be our District-Wide Great Kindness Challenge!  On Monday, January 26, our middle school 6th graders will be visiting TBS to lead a kindness lesson with our students.
Our school-wide spirit days are as follows:

  • Monday – Sunshine Day: Wear bright yellow or sunshine colors

  • Tuesday – Diversity Day (Mix It Up): Wear mismatched or patterned clothing

  • Wednesday – Cozy and Caring Day: Wear cozy clothes, sweaters, comfy clothes, or pajamas

  • Thursday – Team Spirit Day: Wear school colors (red or blue)

  • Friday – Inclusion Day (Color the World): Wear colorful clothing or tie-dye

In addition, we will be hosting a district-wide fundraiser (please see poster for details). Donations can be dropped off at the TBS front office. 
It is going to be a wonderful week filled with kindness, inclusion, and school spirit. Thank you for your continued support!

Summer Spark Enrichment Program:  Welcome all incoming K - 7th grade students.  Join us for Arts & Crafts, Cooking/Baking, Running & Sports & Singing/Performing Arts &/or STEM! 7th grade students have the option of joining our Spark Squad to gain leadership experience and earn service credit alongside their enjoyment of the program experience. 
Our outstanding staff is offering our hands-on, engaging weeks of fun with new projects & plans.  We look forward to seeing your family for a delightful and fulfilling experience.  Full and half-day programs are held the weeks of July 20  & July 27. See our

TBS Valentines Day Information: Valentine’s Day Classroom Celebrations.  Valentine’s Day celebrations are on the horizon! We are excited to share the love with each other. Please remember that there is a school district policy prohibiting the distribution of candy.
In addition, if you choose to hand out Valentine’s Day cards, please be sure to have one for each child in the class. Your classroom teacher will share the class list and details about the celebration.

Preschool / Grades K-1 New Student Online Registration – Readington Township Public School District is conducting full-day Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade new student online registration for the 2026-2027 school year. The online registration process will officially open on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. If your child is currently enrolled in the district’s preschool program, you do not need to register for Kindergarten. If you wish to enroll your child for the first time in Preschool, Kindergarten, or First Grade, please click here.

Spring Mini Courses: Parent Instructors Needed!
Please consider volunteering to guide students through an activity during our spring mini-courses on Friday, 3/27 from 3:15-4:30.  Parent volunteers can instruct a course of their choosing or you can volunteer to teach a course that we assign you (past examples include making Harry Potter wands or building Bird Houses). Parent volunteers who teach minicourses are eligible for two of their children to attend at no charge! Sign up HERE.

NEW! Flemington Food Pantry: THANK YOU TBS Families! We delivered 182 pounds of food to the Flemington Food Pantry in November.  Your generous donations support individuals and families facing hardship allowing them to access nutritious food.

NEW! The TBS SCIENCE FAIR IS COMING! The Science Fair will be held on two nights in February.  Monday, the 23rd  is reserved for kindergarten and first grade, and Tuesday 24th for second and third grade. The fair will take place from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. both evenings.   

By holding the event over two nights we hope to eliminate the crowding issues and also allow an element of flexibility for students who would like to participate but have other commitments. If you cannot attend the night that is scheduled for your grade level, please indicate that on the Google sign up form.   If your child would like to work and present with a sibling or friend (who must also attend TBS), please also note that on the registration form.

Congratulations to all 2nd and 3rd grade students who completed their 10 week Sunshine Math challenge!  Celebrations are occurring this week in Mrs. Nabozny's room.   Grade K and 1 Sunshine Math will begin in early February.  Be on the lookout for more information on that in the upcoming weeks!

Monday January 26th Open the umbrella of kindness - Wear bright yellow or sunshine colors to bring cheerful vibes. 
Tuesday January 27th -Mix it up under the umbrella- Wear mismatched clothes or patterns to celebrate diversity. Everyone is welcome, differences make us beautiful. 
Wednesday January 28th -Cozy and Caring- Wear cozy clothes, sweaters, comfy clothes, PJ's. The big umbrella gives comfort and warmth to everyone. 
Thursday January 29th-Team work keeps us dry -Wear school colors, when we work together everyone fits under the umbrella.
Friday January 30th -Color the world with kindness- Wear  colorful clothes, tie dye, to represent inclusion. Celebrate how differences make the world bright and beautiful.

Winter Shoppe: 2026 Winter Shoppe needs your recycled holiday cards to use as tags. After this year’s holiday season, please consider sending in your decorative cards (cutting the card in half to remove the internal card message). Backpack mail to the main office - labeled Winter Shoppe 2026.

Clothing and Used Item Drive Is Here! The H.S.A.'s Winter clothing and used item drive starts THIS Thursday, January 8th and runs until Thursday, January 15th.  Bring your gently used clothing, shoes, hats, gloves, scarves, baby accessories, strollers, toys, blankets and more to help your school!  Each donated bag counts! SAVE THE DATE: Readington Township Color Run - May 31st!
Get ready for a burst of color and fun at our District-Wide Color Run! This exciting event is open to all friends and families—including those from neighboring towns—we want everyone to join in on the fun!!
